Maduro: We will not rest until we return Venezuelans to their homeland.

He announced the arrival of the Return to the Homeland Plan flight for this Saturday, which had been suspended last week due to weather reasons.

"We will not rest until we ensure that Venezuelans who have been kidnapped and imprisoned in El Salvador, violated and subjected without due process or the right to defense, return to their homeland," said President Nicolás Maduro this Monday during the 74th edition of his weekly program, Con Maduro+.

Maduro announced that Venezuela will go to international organizations to denounce crimes against humanity against Venezuelan migrants who were deported from the United States.

"This is the greatest attack any country in Latin America and the Caribbean has ever suffered. Our migrants are good, noble, hardworking, and productive people," Maduro said.

He stated that he has signed a series of communications for world presidents and multilateral organizations, the UNHCR, and other bodies responsible for defending human rights, to activate defense mechanisms for these migrants. "It cannot be that because a person is Venezuelan, they are kidnapped without the right to defense, without being sentenced, and are thrown into a concentration camp in El Salvador.

He accused extremists Paparoni and María Machado of boasting about manipulating Trump. "If the US president were to dig a little deeper into his intelligence, they could quickly provide him with proof that they're manipulating all of this, and that's why they issued a statement supporting this entire process," he said.

"We have evidence of how María Corina Machado speaks and claims to control Donald Trump; through Carlos Paparoni, her main operative, these are the ones conspiring against Venezuelan migration. Both celebrated and announced the first passage of the anachronistic law," Maduro said.

"I make an appeal, I cry out to God, how far will this go? Slave labor, kidnapping. What crime did these young migrants commit to be held captive in El Salvador? This situation must end immediately. (The migrants) must return to their families in their country," he stated.

"Bukele, you're going to condone this cruelty, and put noble migrants in prison, without trials, without having been prosecuted. Do you think that's humane, just because you're a Venezuelan migrant, or because you have a tattoo? Is that humane? You're going to condone this injustice, creating concentration camps and imprisoning good people," he asked.

In Maduro's view, it's about capturing a person in their home while they sleep, working to pay the rent, who had gone to register to return to their homeland, he said, referring to the case of the young men from Zulia who registered and were arrested.

"They put them in jail, stole their cell phones, froze their accounts and assets, and then put them on a plane, handcuffed and beaten. When they arrived at the jail, they scraped their heads. What do you call that? Fascism and Nazism, and that issue creates great outrage!" the president exclaimed.

Indignant Movement against Fascism

Maduro called for unity across Venezuela and insisted that "they will not rest until they achieve the return of our compatriots," he declared. "Venezuela rejects the Foreign Enemies Act invoked by Trump," he reiterated. This is why this movement of the Indignados against fascism is emerging in Venezuela.

"This is a law from 228 years ago, an antiquated law whose explanation was unknown when it was created, the US had already separated from the British Empire, but it maintained the idea of Monroeism, which establishes the British imperial vision. "They inherited it in its entirety," he commented.

"The anachronistic and illegal law against Venezuelan migrants is also an attack on Latin America and the Caribbean. It is an illegal expression of aggression against our nationality; it is the greatest act of enmity and injustice. The United States has failed. Our migrants are good, hard-working, and productive people."

Maduro also announced the arrival of the Return to the Homeland Plan flight this Saturday, which had been suspended last week due to weather conditions.

Recommendation: Do not travel to the US

The President of the Republic recommended that citizens not travel to the US. "It was already announced by the Foreign Minister. Our recommendation is that you do not travel to the US and that all our fellow citizens return."

He warned that they are taking all their properties and belongings, in addition to tarnishing their honor and humiliating them.

  1. Just as Rubio considers that if some of the deportees are not criminals, they are still illegal in the US. Who is he in that country, could he be a gringo?
