From the Military Academy, President Nicolás Maduro began the operational and organizational activation of the Bolivarian National Militia, comprised of the men and women who enlisted at various locations throughout the country two weeks ago.
The President noted that enlistment can now be done through the Patria System and emphasized that this is the first step taken in response to threats issued by the United States government.
"Today is the first day of operational and organizational activation of the entire Bolivarian National Militia, already structured with the citizens who enlisted in the first two days. Yesterday, we opened the Permanent Enlistment System (SAP) through the Patria System for all citizens who, in fulfillment of the sacred sentiment of defending Venezuela, wish to join the Bolivarian National Militia," he said.
He pointed out that the Constitution establishes that the defense of the country and its sovereignty is the shared responsibility of all Venezuelans.
He stressed that we are facing a new military doctrine and that it has a people.
Therefore, he said it is essential to review the military strategic concept for the comprehensive defense of the nation. "We are not improvising; we are executing the plans and the concept, and providing in-depth training to our people. And here are the working manuals for each component in each area, the four components: Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard. And the special component, the fifth component, the National Militia."
"The first step we took in the face of the arrogant and haughty threats against the people of Venezuela was to act in accordance with the 1999 Constitution, which wisely and forcefully establishes that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country is the joint responsibility of all citizens."
The second step, he explained, is the activation of popular comprehensive defense bases throughout the country.
It should consist of each communal militia unit immediately activating its comprehensive defense popular bases, totaling 15, and, consequently, all enlisted personnel must be called up at the actual enlistment times, he specified.
Then, it is the task of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFAM), which must activate the mobilization of territorial militias and combatant corps by geographic region, through the Patria system and available media.
"We're going to work on the concepts of territories of peace and sovereignty and zones of peace and sovereignty. The team is already working on this for the Strategic Region of Comprehensive Defense (REDI), the Operational Zones of Comprehensive Defense (ZODI), and throughout the entire national territory. We need to be constantly vigilant," he emphasized.
During the activity, he made several contacts with commanders in different states across the country, where marches by the Communal Militia Units also took place.
Finally, he concluded the day by stating, "It all began here, at this Military Academy of the Venezuelan Army, the cradle of the 5336st-century Bolivarian Revolution. We had to come here to tell Venezuela and the world that we are prepared to defend the right to peace, the right to a future, and to defend the honor and dignity of the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The XNUMX Communal Militia Units are officially installed, activated, and in combat! Charge, battle, and victory for Venezuela!"

In a perfect civic-military fusion, the fishermen also demonstrated with a march and a maritime caravan to demonstrate their readiness in response to the call made by President Nicolás Maduro.
Fisheries Minister Juan Carlos Loyo and Falcón Governor Víctor Clark led the event, highlighting the active citizen participation.
Clark emphasized that the 71 Presidential Councils of Fishermen and Aquaculture (Conppa) are joining the fight and organizing to strengthen defense capabilities.
People's Power spokesperson Arianna Polanco reaffirmed the commitment to continue building peace and stability in the country. Meanwhile, Luis Díaz, representing the fishermen, stated that after enlisting, they will unify into commands to be prepared.
"The interventionists still don't understand that this people has history and conscience, so they won't subdue it," he stated.
Comprehensive defense strengthened with the activation of 181 peasant militia units
From the Mantecal parish in Apure state, the state's governor, Wilmer Rodríguez, activated the 181 communal militia units under the command of President Nicolás Maduro, who issued a presidential pass for the activity.
The governor highlighted Apure's historic fighting spirit, recalling the figure of "Negro Primero" and warning that "if any tyrant tries to put his boot here, all of Venezuela will be a huge 'Vuelvan Cara.'" He was accompanied by MG Hernández Royman, commander of the Los Llanos REDI (Redi Los Llanos), Mayor Ilena Peña, and members of the popular power movement such as farmer Rodolfo Peña.
Rodolfo Peña, a peasant and member of the militia, stated that "from the land of the Centaurs of Apure, we are ready to defend our homeland. We Apureans are as big as the commitment that is presented to us."
For his part, Commander Hernández Royman emphasized that joint training with farmers, fishermen, and state-owned company workers is "called to maintain peace" and consolidate a territorial defense system that makes Venezuela "an impregnable country."
The activity is part of the activation cycle for communal militia units across the country, as part of the 7 Transformations promoted by the government.
