The National Assembly unanimously approved to request that the representative of the European Union in Venezuela, Isabel Pedrosa, be declared persona non grata, as well as to urge the National Executive to review the conditions in which the European Union office exists in the country and raise to the UN the consequences of how the Venezuelans are being attacked through these new sanctions.
In the opinion of the speaker of the Venezuelan parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, the new sanctions issued by the European Union are nothing more than "one more aggression in the multifaceted plan being carried out against Venezuela from abroad." He commented that he would be honored if José Borrell sanctioned the 277 deputies who make up the New National Assembly. "It's truly disgusting that there are people who have become addicted to sanctions at the expense of the suffering of the people," he commented.
The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reviewed the agenda items discussed during Tuesday's regular session of the National Assembly and considered that all the items summarized what he called "the multifaceted, varied, profound, cruel, and criminal aggression of the world's imperial forces against Venezuela."

Regarding point 2, regarding the discussion of the Agreement Rejecting the Measures Adopted by the Government of the Republic of Peru Against Venezuelan Migrants or Those in a State of Human Mobility at its Borders, he highlighted that it had been a point proposed by the opposition in Parliament and recalled the words of Julio Borges, who in 2017 stated that "Venezuelan emigration was a contagious disease... what a level, stateless," expressed Rodríguez, who said that this was orchestrated by the so-called Lima Group.

He recalled that Venezuela currently hosts 6 million Colombians and wondered why the UNHCR has never questioned how the Venezuelan government treats these citizens... "How do we welcome them, like any other Venezuelan, providing them with healthcare, housing, and food?"
"I raise both hands to condemn the attack on our nationality," he said upon approval of the agreement against the Peruvian government's actions.
