This Thursday, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, urged the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela to avoid interfering in the country's internal affairs.
The parliamentarian made the call showing his concern by referring to a meeting held by some ambassadors with a person belonging to a political group.
"With all due respect, we ask for restraint, with all due respect, we ask for restraint. Do not interfere in the internal political affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela," Rodríguez urged, asserting that 2019 is over.
"We will not allow Venezuelan society to be put back into a state of anxiety just because that massive fraud was perpetrated last Sunday," he warned, after presenting to the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country the evidence evidencing fraud in the primary event held last Sunday by a sector of the opposition.
In this regard, he pointed out that the primary event last Sunday was not intended to choose a candidate but to perpetrate fraud to generate situations of anxiety that would once again lead the country to political violence, "something that we will not allow, because Venezuela has the right to live in peace, to be at peace and to participate in the presidential elections of 2024 in absolute and complete peace, it is our right," he stated.
He added that the second intention of the fraud was to exterminate the traditional G3 parties, with whom the Barbados agreement was signed to subdue them and put us at the service of the extreme right as in 2019.
"Sooner rather than later, the truth about what happened, how many people actually came, will begin to emerge from them; we guarantee peace throughout this process," Jorge Rodríguez told the diplomatic representatives gathered this Thursday at the Casa Amarilla in Caracas.
