The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, decreed this Friday, May 17 - the date of the birth of Aquiles Nazoa - as National Poetry Day and on November 13 as National Theater Day “according to our roots, identity and our culture ”.
Within the framework of the inauguration of the Casona Cultural Aquiles Nazoa, the Head of State signed the decree that converts the La Casona presidential residence and all the assets that make up and integrate this architectural work, such as the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural Center.
"The Presidential House is open to culture for the people and becomes a center of national culture," he said, while inviting Venezuelans to visit the spaces and learn about the history of this space, which will be open to the public. from Thursday to Sunday.
The President congratulated Los Palmeros de Chacao, who received the distinction of Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
"They have received the world distinction of being declared a World Heritage Site," he stressed.
