The U.S. military attacked another vessel carrying a suspected drug shipment in the eastern Pacific.
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth reported that the attack, ordered by President Donald Trump, took place yesterday, Wednesday, and four people were killed.
“This vessel, like the others, was known to our intelligence services for its involvement in illicit drug trafficking. It was traveling along a known drug trafficking route and transporting narcotics. Four male narco-terrorists were aboard the vessel and were killed during the attack, which took place in international waters. No members of the U.S. forces were injured in this attack,” the statement read via X.
The United States has maintained a military deployment in the region since last September, in what it has called its frontal fight against drug trafficking to prevent these substances from reaching its territory.
With this argument he has taken the lives of more than 60 people, whom he has labeled as narco-terrorists, without showing evidence to support these crimes, relying only on videos.
These actions undertaken in international waters by the US military have been rejected by several governments and UN experts, who have urged respect for international law.
The Venezuelan government has repeatedly stated that the underlying motive behind the actions of the US is simply to justify an invasion of its territory in order to seize the country's natural resources.
In the previous attack reported by the US, it was reported that murder of fourteen people.
