Electoral Commission presents balance of the Second Popular Consultation

The National Electoral Commission urged the population to participate in this Second National Popular Consultation to choose the project that benefits them

The National Electoral Commission presented an assessment of the development of the Second National Popular Consultation which takes place this Sunday throughout the country.

He highlighted that there are more than 100 international observers deployed in the national territory who accompany the electoral process.

"Right now, 90% of the 4.505 polling stations are active. There have been some issues due to the rain. It's raining in many states, and it's made it a bit difficult, not so much the opening, but the continuity because we've been at all polling stations nationwide with our teams since 7 a.m.," Commission member Carolina Arellano emphasized in a statement to the media.

According to the Commission, 30 projects nominated for this consultation are registered, including proposals on the topic of water and electricity.

They thanked the national, regional, municipal and community promotional teams deployed to carry out the electoral process, as well as those who participated.

"I also thank the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Plan República (Republic Plan), the militias, and our President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for their support; because today we are in this second referendum, demonstrating with actions, with the popular participation to which the Venezuelan people are accustomed, how elections are held throughout our territory," Arellano added.

Likewise, the members of the Commission invited the communities to participate in this electoral process to choose the project that benefits them.

The Electoral Commission stated that the day will take place until there are no citizens in line to exercise their right to vote.
