Cabello: More than a million Venezuelans have returned after finding the harsh reality

He lashed out at the so-called influencers who have tried to link all Venezuelan migration with criminal gangs.

The secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, stated that more than one million Venezuelans have returned to the country after being deceived and manipulated by the extremist opposition's campaigns.

"Since 2018, the president has told all Venezuelans to return to their homeland, and more than a million of those who left, deceived, manipulated, or seeking the American dream and found the harsh reality of nightmares, have returned like prodigal sons to their homes," he emphasized this Wednesday during the 520th broadcast of Con El Mazo Dando.

He added that good children return home and criticized the so-called influencers who have tried to link the entire Venezuelan migration to belonging to the now-defunct Tren de Aragua criminal gang.

“Of the latest batch of Venezuelans who returned to the country, 16 have applications for various reasons, none linked to the Aragua Train. The vast majority come to reunite with their families,” he clarified, assuring that “every time a Venezuelan comes and I have the opportunity to hug them, I will hug them, whatever their name is; every time I have the chance, I will do it.”

He also stated that the Return to the Homeland Plan, promoted by the Bolivarian Government, is not exclusive to the United States (US) but also serves to bring back nationals from other countries.

"And who said we only have the Return to the Homeland Plan with the US? We have the Return to the Homeland Plan with any country that accepts our planes," he said, referring to the US statement issued over the weekend stating that migrants would not arrive in Venezuela from their country.

In this regard, he questioned the fuss made by imperialism and its lackeys over the reception of the flight from Mexico. "They think they're the only ones who can send people to Venezuela. It's not fair. We're searching everywhere and will continue to do so," he noted.
