Sinvergüenzura

According to the Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy, the expression "sinvergüenzura" is a Venezuelanism that means "impudence, lack of shame."

This is the word that vibrated in my mind when I read the note published by www.elnacional.com on Tuesday, September 7, and which I accessed thanks to a Google promotion:

"TSJ in exile is without financing from the interim government: it has four years without receiving resources

Magistrate Rafael Antonio Ortega denounced that the component of $ 1.650.000 for the Judiciary was eliminated from the budget item introduced by the Interim Presidency before OFAC "

Just reading the title and subtitle makes you nauseous.

Nausea: f. Disgust or aversion that something causes.

"Interim government", "TSJ in exile", "budget item", "OFAC": the first two terms were entelechies that created the alliance of a few # @ ¡¿ñ% / to gain Venezuelan wealth abroad and boycott the oil industry and our economy under the argument of the "Madurist dictatorship" and so much blah, blah, blah.

OFAC is the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury and the so-called "budget line" is a request made to this office by the first of the entelechies.

Entelequia: f. Unreal thing.

But, hey, let's keep reading. According to this journalistic work, “Last week, the magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in exile were informed that the Office of Assets Control of the Department of the Treasury (OFAC) gave its approval of licenses for the operation of the interim government of Juan Guaidó. However, the license to finance the TSJ in exile was not included ”.

In other words, although humanity is aware of the negotiations that are being carried out in Mexico, OFAC approved, last week, some licenses for the “interim government” to function. How about it?

Mamarracho: m. colloq. Very poorly done or ridiculous thing

Let's read some excerpts from the rest of the interview with "Magistrate Ortega":

"In this regard, Ortega explained that it is not that OFAC did not approve the component for the TSJ, but that it was eliminated from the budget line introduced before that body ...

Like the rest of the magistrates, he hopes that because the resources for the functioning of the Judicial Power in exile were not obtained through OFAC, they are available from other sources ...

Fraud: m. Action contrary to truth and righteousness, which harms the person against whom it is committed.

On Friday (September 3) the magistrates expected a communication with Juan Guaidó, in which they would ask him to comply with the payment of stipends through another source. However, at the moment it is unknown if that communication took place and its results ...

Obtuse: adj. Clumsy (slow to understand)

He emphasized that for the exclusion of the item destined for the Supreme Court in exile to occur, the opinion that this institution has no operation or jurisdiction because it is not within Venezuelan territory had to be deprived ...

It deprives the opinion of some exegetical from the State Department, OFAC, or some politicians who put obstacles saying that the magistrates do not have operation or jurisdiction outside the national territory, since they are not dispatching from the headquarters of the Court in Dos Pilitas ...

If that argument were valid, the deputies elected in 2015 would not be included in the budget either ... since they are not dispatching from the Federal Legislative Palace, nor will the ambassadors because most of them have not presented their credentials and are doing nothing in other countries ; in the same way, the chancellor is not in the Yellow House, nor the comptroller, nor the attorney, nor those who act as ministers dispatch from their respective headquarters; and the interim president is not in Miraflores ...

Egoism: Immoderate and excessive self-love, which makes us pay undue attention to our own interest, without taking care of that of others

The magistrates have been in exile for four years without receiving financial resources ... They work in Uber, delivery, truckers, forklifts, ATMs, messengers, cleaning houses, and they have not stopped working for the reestablishment of a Judicial Power at the service of Venezuela ...

He stressed that it is not worth fighting judicially for the item that was excluded from the budget introduced - and already approved - in OFAC. This is because a trial could last about a year ...

The agency expects Guaidó to have these resources available through other sources, such as companies that report directly to him, without the need for a license from the Treasury Department ...

The magistrate clarified that both he and the rest of the magistrates assumed this role to fight for Venezuelan democracy, and not for money; but that it is fair that they receive their salaries for constituting the legitimate Judicial Power ...

Contumacia: f. Tenacity and toughness in maintaining an error // Quality of stubborn.

I did not get into this for money, but for justice and for my children. I had to leave Colombia and I was with my family in a shelter in Spain. Here I have worked as a janitor and while still in my role as a member of the legitimate TSJ. And so everyone else. Since we left the country, what we have done is work for Venezuela ... "
