Multilateralism in the commitment to a world free from economic and commercial war

Given the current situation of economic and political aggression of the United States government against Venezuela and its intention to intervene in its internal affairs, particularly those related to the political and government system, it is necessary to develop strategies within the framework of the consolidation of Bolivarian foreign policy defined and built under the integrationist principles of peace and respect for the sovereignty of the countries. Likewise, new initiatives must be carried out that allow us to reconfigure the map of actors on the international scene with the aim of facing the brutal sanctions issued by Washington, as well as building spaces for international coordination and cooperation in the framework of the transition to the new world order and its financial and commercial architecture.

It is a two-handed agenda, in which it is our responsibility to attend to urgent situations under the premises of national interest, appealing to existing multilateralism and its effective operation, as well as the emergence of alternatives aimed at the improvement and efficiency of global governance in conditions of respect, cooperation and complementarity, particularly in the search for alliances with emerging economies, who not only today dispute the economic and political leadership of the West, but also make common cause with Venezuela against unilateralism and the use of economic sanctions such as means of political pressure.

In this sense, it is extremely interesting that in this century we have to see with our own eyes the recomposition of forces in world trade regarding the political leadership that the White House represents in the defense of trade protectionism, against the leadership of China as an advocate. of the international dynamism of a trade without borders but with strong states, a situation in which, of course, Beijing has a privileged position due to its well-known economic conditions. And it is precisely the strategy of the West to relocate their economies last century, as a means of internationalization of their companies through cheaper production costs and the maximization of profits, served as a breeding ground for the economic take-off of many countries Today cataloged as emerging, which they consider that now is their time to go out on the playing field in front of the worrying and abysmal gaze of the old order, a staunch defender of economic globalization.

Faced with this scenario, Venezuela cannot sit idly by, much less without a position in the face of global economic processes and commercial multilateralism born in the heat of the United Nations, as well as the legal-administrative tools that the States have given themselves to defend. their economic rights against the rest. In this order, it is up to us to incorporate with great force in our transitional vision to socialism, a very practical sense of economic relations in the world, as well as the defense of international agreements within the framework of the World Trade Organization, violated in a way abrupt by the government of the United States and the European Union as an affront to world stability through the establishment of unilateral economic sanctions. So it is the right time to make common cause with the bloc of countries that, already on the international trade board, have begun their path towards the economic and political use of the platforms that historically served the West.
