Trump plays five-dimensional chess

The concept emerged in 2016 to describe Donald Trump's style, suggesting that his perplexing actions masked a larger master plan. Some experts point out that his approach is more improvisational. His decisions seek immediate attention and control of the public discourse, managing power dynamics and strategic resources without adhering to traditional diplomatic protocols.

It is well known that social media and corporate information networks frequently use the expression "chessboard" or "geopolitics of chess." This term is used to refer to the power dynamics, strength, and influence of some powers and countries over others. Supporters and critics also use the term "4D or 5D chess" to describe Trump's strategy. Before becoming president for the first time, he played chess in four dimensions (4D), because that was the path to power.

In reality, President Donald Trump's five-dimensional chess game consists of five factors: military, economic, political, diplomatic, and oil. Trump's strategy to rebuild US geopolitical power is essentially executing geopolitical chess moves to once again occupy Latin America as its "backyard." This political chess game might not be understood in light of his radical decisions to launch armed attacks against other countries, so no one should be surprised by his rhetoric applying the military principle of "the peace of the grave" through war.

Within this framework, the decision to attack Iran reveals a five-dimensional geopolitical chess game being played by the United States to counter the international advances of Russia, China, Iran, and now Venezuela. In the armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia, President Trump is employing a four-dimensional (4D) chess game.

In Latin America, Trump knows that the geostrategic weapon of the Bolivarian Revolution is oil, which is the main reason for his invasion of Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores; the main objectives of the US are to control Venezuela's oil reserves to prevent them from going to China or Iran.
