In the territorial area of the Commune of La Vecindad Socialista, in the municipality of Francisco Esteban Gómez in the state of Nueva Esparta, the Minister of Communes and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, together with the mayor Emilio Velásquez, held an important meeting with spokespersons of the 4 communal circuits of the municipality, as part of the specific agenda of actions of this ministerial portfolio.
During the meeting, important resources were approved for the well-being of all. Prado committed to finance, through the Autonomous Service of the National Fund of Communal Councils (Safonacc), the rehabilitation of the Ramón Rojas Salazar CDI, located in the Santa Ana sector, where the entire population of the Gómez municipality and nearby municipalities receive care.
In this same way, resources will be injected for the improvement of the Bachiller Juan José Fernández school, located in the La Vecindad sector with an enrollment of more than 700 students. Likewise, the community youth will receive the necessary economic support to complete a sports field, which began to be built 10 years ago, so that all young people can practice sports in decent conditions.
Construction supervision in Garcia
In addition, the minister, accompanied by the mayor of the García municipality, Cruz Lairet, supervised the progress of the community house being built in the Villa Juana sector, a project chosen in the second popular consultation.
“Here they are carrying out a project, a beautiful work, to provide care to the entire population, thanks to a community that works with a lot of love. In the first consultation they rehabilitated a health center and in the second consultation they take care of their community house beautifully. This town continues to resist and continues to fight. We will win, commune or nothing!” said the minister.
