In Táchira 90% of road accidents are related to motor vehicles

The Director of PC #Táchira highlighted that regarding people injured so far this year, 602 cases are motorized

During the last week, a total of 22 road accidents were recorded, of which 25 were injured and one died.

These figures reflect that 100% of accidents involve motor vehicles in different circumstances.

This percentage of the incidence of two-wheeled vehicle drivers is on the rise in recent days.

The director of Civil Protection, Yesnardo Canal, explained that “although preventive campaigns have been carried out, through different means and with deployment in different areas of the city, so far this year a total of 623 road incidents have been reported. . In 476 cases, motorized vehicles are involved, 146 in a vehicle and one in a bicycle.

Canal highlighted that regarding people injured so far this year, 602 cases are motorized, reaching 90% of the statistics; Likewise, of the 25 deaths, 15 were traveling on motorcycles.

Meanwhile, the incident that has taken place during the last year at the Quinimarí Junction in the upper part of the City of San Cristóbal is considered, so special recommendations will be available to be considered by the corresponding bodies and in accordance with what is established by the Land Traffic and Transportation Law. In addition to this, Canal considered that the preventive work does not stop and will be deployed in accordance with the provisions of the ZODI and the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal.
