Los Morochos water storage tanks are rehabilitated in Carúpano 

With the recovery of the tanks it will be possible to supply water to more than 200 thousand inhabitants of Carúpano

The recovery and maintenance work of the Los Morochos drinking water storage tanks, in Carúpano, Sucre state, is 50% complete; executed by the Bolivarian Government within the framework of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan of the El Carupanero System.

Restoration of the valve system, correction of leaks and removal of sediments, are part of the work that, until now, has been carried out, in compliance with the instructions given by President Nicolás Maduro, to guarantee the supply of drinking water to the people of Carupanero. .

The governor of the state of Sucre, Gilberto Pinto, said that the conditioning of the Morochos tanks, which have a storage capacity of 30 million liters of drinking water, will allow the vital liquid to be supplied to more than 200 thousand inhabitants of this coastal city of the region.

He specified that the works are carried out in a coordinated manner between the Ministry of Water Attention, through the Caribbean Hydrological Authority (Hodrocaribe), the Government of Sucre and the Mayor's Office of Carúpano.

They strengthen water service in Casanay

In addition, Governor Gilberto Pinto reported that work began on replacing 40 meters of 20-inch pipe and placing two 250 HP motors in the El Casanayero aqueduct, in Casanay, Andrés Eloy Blanco municipality, with the purpose of strengthening the water system in the jurisdiction.

Pinto emphasized that these tasks are due to the commitments made by President Nicolás Maduro last Monday, May 27, during the broadcast of his program Con Maduro +.

He highlighted that together with the Minister of Water Attention, Rodolfo Marco Torres, he held a working table over the weekend, with the aim of establishing actions that allow optimizing the distribution of drinking water in the upper area of ​​Casanay.

“We were together with the Minister of Water Attention, Rodolfo Marco Torres, reviewing each of the actions to be undertaken to improve the water system in Casanay. We are going to replace the 12-inch regulating valve and review all lines to eliminate unauthorized intakes that reduce water pressure,” said the regional president.
