Government will attend to more than 83 km of roads between Cumaná and Monagas

The Minister of Transportation detailed that 11 edge failures will be repaired, 7 suspension bridges that have collapsed and 2 fixed bridges that require attention

The National Government began work to recover 83 kilometers of roads from Cumaná and cumanacoa, in the state of Sucre, to San Antonio de Capayacuaro, in Monagas, reported the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán.

Through a video released on the X social network account of the transport office, the Minister explained that in a tour of the aforementioned road they detected 11 edge failures, 7 suspension bridges that have collapsed and 2 fixed bridges that require attention.

“Starting tomorrow (Friday) we will begin to attend to the 2 main bridges, then we will go through the suspension bridges and the edge faults to put this road in optimal conditions,” said Velásquez Araguayán.

Furthermore, the Minister pointed out that the Government is working to finalize the immediate action plan to assist the families affected by the overflowing of the Manzanares River, as a result of the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
