52 university courses are offered at the Cumaná study expo

Expoferia of Study Opportunities 2024 was installed for future high school graduates of the state of Sucre

More than 52 university courses are offered to future high school graduates from the state of Sucre, at the 2024 Study Opportunities Expoferia, installed this Tuesday, June 11, at the facilities of the Western Territorial Polytechnic University “Clodosbaldo Russian”, located in the city from Cumaná.

The governor of the state of Sucre, Gilberto Pinto, in the company of the vice minister for University Education, Domingo Medina Gutiérrez, and the director of the Development Center for Educational Quality in the region, Karenly Sánchez, participated in this event aimed at guiding young people about the different academic offers that the higher education institutions have in the Sucre entity.

Governor Gilberto Pinto explained that the fair, where 13 universities participate, will take place until Wednesday, June 12.

“The city of Cumaná is the epicenter to support the future. Cumaná becomes the capital for the selection of university courses that we offer from the 13 universities that we have in our state, to about 12 thousand future high school graduates,” Pinto highlighted.

In this regard, the regional president explained that the university courses offered are framed in the 18 productive engines that make up the country's economic agenda.

“In Sucre, more than 52 professional specialties are offered, in the areas of social sciences, in areas of the productive economy, in fishing, in minerals, in basic sciences; In addition, here we offer an opportunity at the National Experimental University of Security (UNES), for those who opt for precautions, to learn the issue of citizen security,” said the governor.

Pinto explained that the expofair also promotes online registration of the National Income System (SNI), through a registration and consultation module of the educational program activated on the day.

For his part, the Vice Minister for University Education, Domingo Medina Gutiérrez, emphasized that the expofair has been installed in different states of the country, in order to promote study opportunities that are linked to the well-being of young people and the strengthening of productive economy of the territory.

"The Bolivarian Government has the premise, first of all, to develop a life and a dignified profession for each of our students, secondly, to provide a profession that has an expression in the development and growth of the state of Sucre and that this growth is express yourself in the defense of the homeland,” Medina highlighted.
