5.995 mining machines seized in Portuguesa

The equipment was confiscated in different procedures

In the state of Portuguesa, 5.995 mining machines were seized, as reported this Friday, May 24, by the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) on the social network Instagram.

The action was carried out by officials from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), the Public Ministry and the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) and was carried out in different procedures, indicated @corpoelecportuguesa in a video.

The equipment is the one used in cryptocurrency transactions and according to official information they were disconnected.

The deployment was accompanied by the regional authorities of the state electricity company, as part of the Special Load Control Plan carried out by the Ministry of Electric Energy.

This week they were also found, seized and disconnected from the National Electrical System (SEN). 293 mining machines in the state of Cojedes, along with 22 cooling fans, nine 400 amp breakers, eight 200 volt contactors, two computers adapted for the mining surveillance and monitoring system and four 167.5 kVA transformers.

The order of the Ministry of Electric Energy is to disconnect all digital mining farms from the SEN, to avoid their high impact on electricity demand and provide the population with a reliable service.
