Lebrún Popular Clinic offers various services

The Petare health center provides general and gynecology consultation

At the Lebrún Dr Jesús Yerena Popular Clinic, located on Industrias Street on Lebrún Avenue, Petare parish in the Sucre municipality, Miranda state, different services are active to provide free care to locals and visitors.

The type II health center, belonging to the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS), has two floors, a ground floor (PB) and a basement where different specialties are distributed, such as obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency, dentistry, pharmacy, immunology, nutrition, general consultation, traumatology, general surgery, gynecology, among others.

To make an appointment for any of the services provided by the clinic, the person must go to the central office, located in PB, with the patient's identification card and the medical reference explaining the diagnosis and the specialty in which they require care. Likewise, the space works in shifts from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Consultation days vary according to the specialty.

In the pharmacy area they only deliver medications to people with prescriptions issued by the health institution's staff.

General inquiry

  • Schedule. General Consultation patients are seen in the morning (7:00 am – 12:00 pm) and afternoon shifts (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm), in an office located in the basement of the Clinic, in Emergency facilities.
  • Requirements. There are no requirements for care.
  • Procedure. Patients are seen from Monday to Friday on a first-come, first-served basis. In this service, in addition to evaluating non-emergency conditions, referrals can be requested for any specialty that the person requires, whether from the Clínica Popular Lebrún or another health center.

Immunization

  • Schedule. The staff begins the vaccination process starting at 8:00 am.
  • Requirements. Parents and/or representatives must present the infant's vaccination card to health personnel.
  • Procedure. At the Lebrún Popular Clinic they have available the toxoid, pentavalent, inactivated and oral polio, trivalent viral, double viral, yellow fever, hepatitis B vaccines for newborns and Calmette-Guérin bacillus, better known as BCG.

Gynecology and Obstetrics

  • Schedule. Patients are treated in order of arrival in the morning and afternoon shifts; The first runs from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon, while the second covers the period from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In order to be evaluated in the service, they must request a consultation date in Appointment Control.
  • Requirements. Women must present the laminated identity card and the medical reference issued by specialists in the area of ​​general medicine or a Comprehensive Diagnostic Center. In the case of pregnant women, they must present a recent ultrasound scan.
  • Procedure. They perform cytology, physical examination, pregnancy monitoring, childbirth care, and care for mothers and newborns.

Dentistry

  • Schedule. The dental service operates from Monday to Friday. The staff recommends that patients be outside the office before 7:00 in the morning because the care process begins at 7:30 am on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Requirements. The person must wear two latex gloves.
  • Procedure. Only extractions are currently being carried out in the service. It is expected that other dental procedures will be enabled soon.
