They inaugurate the first cocoa research center in Venezuela

This space, located in the Acevedo municipality of Miranda state, will be at the service of the more than 30 thousand cocoa producers in the country.

The Venezuelan Government inaugurated the first national cocoa research center in the country. A space located in the Acevedo municipality of Miranda state that will be at the service of the cocoa community throughout the country.

Its main objective will be to help the cocoa producer in the diagnosis of diseases and pests in their plantations to counteract them, and to improve the productivity of this fruit.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, in charge of the project, specified in her X account that this center will be focused on improving the production and quality of cocoa through sustainable agricultural practices, technological innovations, transfer and dissemination of the scientific knowledge.
