Ubisoft is working on multiple Assassin's Creed remakes

The current CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, described some of the plans the company has for the coming years. Including the Assassin's Creed type are on the way.

Speaking about the Assassin's Creed franchise, Guillemot noted that new games like Assassin's Creed Shadows and Codename Hexe are on the way. But the speculations were right, there will also be ”some remakes".

Guillemot says that “players may be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we have created in the past and modernize them. "There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."

While Guillemot didn't go as far as to confirm exactly which Assassin's Creed games are in the works, we have a good idea that at least one title is being rebuilt for a new generation of consoles.

In June 2023, Kotaku reported that Ubisoft was working on a remake of AC 4: Black Flag. This title is recognized by almost the entire community as one of the best games in the saga, especially for the changes it introduced, such as the protagonist, and of course, the naval battles.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag was first released in 2013 as a cross-generational launch title for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. According to the report, the game was said to be "a few years away" at the time, although it is possible that things have changed since then.

Even with the little information, it is most likely that Black Flag will be the one chosen to revisit, and that Arno from Unity might not be that far away.
