Sonic and his friends will arrive at Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble

The iconic characters will arrive as SEGA Pass DLC alongside the game's launch on Switch this June 25

Sega has announced that, as part of the SEGA Pass DLC, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble will welcome four playable characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise during its exclusive launch for Nintendo Switch this June 25.

Players will run, flip, and spin with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as they join AiAi and company on their adventure. The four characters will be playable in both Adventure mode and Battle mode, and each of them will have unique statistics that will help them on the circuits.

Additionally, only for these characters, all in-game objects will change from bananas to golden rings, as a tribute to the classic franchise.

Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble in Nintendo eShop, will receive both the standard edition of the game and the SEGA Pass, which includes a total of SIX playable characters - Sonic, Tails, Knuckles Amy and two additional characters - from iconic SEGA franchises, along with a set of 15 additional customization items from SEGA themed characters.

The SEGA Pass can also be purchased separately for $24.99 USD, so those who choose the Digital Deluxe Edition will save on the package. The launch of all content is planned for the coming months.

What is Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble about?

In this new installment, players will join AiAi and company to compete with up to 16 players online in various game modes to reach the top of the leaderboard. You can also collaborate with your colleagues in the 4-player cooperative mode or let yourself be carried away by an exciting and entertaining story in the new Adventure mode experience.
