A new Astro game could be announced soon

Rumors claim that Sony could be developing a sequel to Astro's Playroom for PlayStation 5

Through a article in the French magazine Dealabs, insider Billbil-kun assured that Team Asobi would be developing a new installment of Astro Bot for the Sony console.

Billbil-kun claims that these rumors have been brewing in Jeff Grubb's inner circle for quite some time. Industry journalist member of Giant Bomb who won't stop talking about industry exclusives, in this case that a Sony event was going to take place in May of this year.

Insider Billbil is confident that it is about a new Astro bot title (A Sony mascot that has had small games for its last 2 consoles). Since Billbil published an image from Days of Play where the PlayStation character appeared.

“The most important information we have is linked to the game's announcement date. In fact, we estimate that the announcement of this new game should also be made within 15 days.” Billbil-kun assures in the article.

Some users have even gone to ask Jeff Grubb himself how true this rumor is, to which he only responded that “the month of May is not over yet,” alluding to the fact that there is still time for Sony to announce something this month.

The last titles related to Astro were Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro's Playroom, which came out for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 respectively, almost out of the box. It is striking that Sony is going to bet on a sequel to these very casual games.

It is important to mention that, at the moment, neither Sony nor Team Asobi have made an official statement about this rumor, so we recommend taking this information with great caution.
