Remedy hints at upcoming Alan Wake 2 DLC

The new content of the game could have a presence at the Summer Game Fest 2024

Surprisingly, Remedy Entertainment has started an intriguing new marketing campaign related to Alan Wake 2, and many claim that it could be the game's next DLC.

The developer updated its social networks from Remedy Games to “Poison Pill Entertainment”, they even updated your YouTube channel with the same name.

Night Springs is a (fictional) town in Arizona that acts as a location within the Alan Wake Universe. Night Springs is also a program within the game's universe, which parodies The Twilight Zone, an American television series that began airing in 1959.

Alan Wake 2 was launched in October 2023 and became Remedy's “best-selling game” and was nominated in various categories of The Game Awards 2023, one of which was Best Game of the Year, a category where Baldur's Gate 3 won. At the time, Remedy CEO Tero Virtala said the studio was not done with the game after its successful launch.

When will they reveal this new Alan Wake 2 DLC?

Taking into account that we are approaching June, a very important date for the video game industry, it would be easy to think that Remedy Entertainment is preparing for an imminent announcement. We will probably see an official reveal this June 7 during the Summer Game Fest taking into account Geoff Keighley's close relationship with the studio.

In addition, Epic Games, who have the exclusive agreement with Remedy for Alan Wake 2, will be part of the extensive list of partners for this edition. At the moment, neither Remedy nor the Summer Game Fest production have made any official announcement, so at we recommend taking this information as mere responsible speculation.

In our review of the game, we mentioned that “Remedy makes Alan Wake 2 its most ambitious game; a multimedia experience that presents its narrative through gameplay, live-action, music and text. Without a doubt the most unique game of the year and a firm step into what awaits us in the future of the medium". You can read it in full through this link.
