UFL, the new rival for EA FC, prepares its open beta on consoles

Find out how to access the trial of this free soccer game supported by Cristiano Ronaldo from June 7 to 9

UFL, the football game that enters the competition against EA Sports FC, eFootbal and the next game with the official FIFA license It was first announced at Gamescom 2021, being developed by the Strikerz Inc. studio, it has been in development since 2016 and will use Unreal Engine 5 as the graphics engine.

Now, years after its announcement, UFL is finally preparing an open beta for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players during June 7 and 9. The game has been in a closed Alpha testing period since October 2023, but this is the first time all players will be able to access it.

UFL will be a free-to-play game that will focus on a “fair play” ideology, in which players will compete fairly against opponents with similar skills. In 2023 it was announced that Cristiano Ronaldo had invested $40 million in the development of the game.

“We have great respect for everything that has been done over the years in soccer video games,” Strikerz Inc CEO Eugene Nashilov said in 2022. “But at the same time, we feel that the community I longed for a change. Our goal at the UFL is to create a game that is immune to the problems that block the progress of the genre.”
