Obsidian brings us a new trailer for Avowed, its next RPG

The Xbox Games Showcase brought with it more details of the next Obsidian Entertainment game that will arrive in 2024

Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout : New Vegas) announced Avowed, its new fantasy RPG, at the January 2023 Xbox Developer_Direct alongside Hi-Fi Rush. Since then, it has become one of the most anticipated games by Xbox users and followers of the studio, thanks to its long history of creating incredible stories.

Now, during the Xbox Games Showcase we were delighted with a new trailer and reaffirmed its launch window for this year.

Obsidian shared a new trailer for Avowed, which is shaping up to be a big new story in the Pillars of Eternity universe. It is built in Unreal Engine 5 and has an impressive look, with great elements typical of a great fantasy universe as the studio has known how to do over the years.

In Avowed, as a direct envoy of Emperor Aedyran, your adventure begins in Paradis, the bustling port city at the heart of the Living Lands. This vibrant center has been shaped and reshaped by generations of pioneers, each of whom left their mark, often in blood, on the Living Lands. It is also the epicenter of tension between Aedyran forces and the locals, who are suspicious of Aedyr's growing presence.

The player will be supported by four companions throughout their journey. One of them is Giatta, a brilliant and outspoken animator who studies soul energy, and has endured suspicion and anger for her work.
