Little Nightmares 3 delays its release date until 2025

Supermassive Games assured that they need more time to develop the sequel to this beloved franchise

During Gamescom 2023, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Little Nightmares 3, being developed by the Suppermassive Games studio who specialize in interactive horror stories such as Until Dawn, The Quarry and many more. However, just at the end of May, they announced that they made the decision to delay the game until 2025.

This announcement arrives throught social media, with a statement from the team explaining why the delay is occurring. “Since the announcement of Little Nightmares 3 at Gamescom last year, we are delighted to see our community filled with excitement and anticipation,” the post reads.

“The teams at Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe have been working hard to deliver the best possible experience for the next entry in the franchise. As much as we can't wait for you to return to Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a priority for us and we know you feel the same.”

“For this reason, we have made the decision to postpone the game's release until 2025. We will share more about Little Nightmares 3 later this summer, so please be patient and wait for future updates. In the meantime, we would like to thank you for your patience and continued support.”

The bright side is that the team plans to share more about the game "later this summer", perhaps at Gamescom, so at least we'll see more of it fairly soon.
