Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero finally has a release date

The long-awaited successor to Budokai Tenkaichi will finally arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 11, 2024

As would have been rumored earlier this week, Bandai Namco Entertainment finally revealed the release date of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, the successor to Budokai Tenkaichi that will arrive on October 11 of this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X| S and PC.

In addition to the date, the trailer revealed other details such as the story mode that will go through various Dragon Ball sagas where the player will be able to make new decisions never seen before, as well as a new set of characters such as Jiren, Ultra Instinct Goku, Black Goku, Majin Buu and many more with different move sets and unique abilities.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not show one of the most anticipated features by fans, this being offline split-screen multiplayer.

Players who pre-order the game will receive an early unlock of 6 characters and a mystery playable character. These include Standard Gogeta, Super Saiyan Gogeta, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, Standard Broly, Super Saiyan Broly, and Broly Legendary Super Saiyan.

There are three editions in play: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. The Standard Edition includes the base game only. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, 3 days of early access, a season pass for the first 3 DLCs, and over 20 playable characters, along with the ability to summon Shenron.

The Ultimate Edition will include the benefits of the Deluxe Edition along with the Ultimate Upgrade Pack, which includes the Goku Super Costume with Power Pole, Emote Voice Set, 2 Player Card Backgrounds, and 1 Customization Item, along with the ability to Summon to Super Sheron.

Lastly, there is a Premium Collector Edition that includes an exclusive Dragon Ball Sparking Zero diorama (264 x 174 mm) depicting a fight between Broly and Ultra Instinct Goku. On top of that, you will also receive the Lenticular Card with a voucher to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition. You'll also receive a metal box, a double-sided metal bookmark, and exclusive cards from the Dragon Ball Super Fusion World card game.
