General Manager of BioWare Studios and Executive Producer for Dragon Age, Gar McKay stated via BioWare blog some news about the game, such as why they made the decision to change the name and other details of the game. As a recap, as the game progressed and its characters became more integral to the experience, BioWare wanted to change the game's name to better reflect its overall direction.

“Each of the seven unique characters who will be your companions will have deep and interesting storylines where your decisions will impact your relationships with them – as well as their lives,” McKay said in the blog. “You will join this team of unforgettable heroes as you face a terrifying new threat unleashed on the world. Naturally, the Dread Wolf is still an important part of this story, but you and your companions – not your enemies – are the heart of this new experience.”

“So, we changed the name to understand what this game is about, since the original title did not reflect the strong connection with our new heroes, their stories and how you will need to keep them together to save all of Thedas. “We are proud to present to you Dragon Age: The Veilguard,” he concluded.

Where, when and how to watch the reveal of Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

Later in the blog, it is explained that followers of the saga will be able to wait more than 15 minutes of the opening moments of the game this June 11 at 11 am Venezuela time.
