Guilty Gear will bring the action of its battles to anime

Titled Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, the first anime adaptation of the fighting game, more information will be revealed during the Anime Expo

As the Anime Expo, one of the largest events focused on Japanese animation productions in the world, approaches, various projects have been announced about which we will have more information once the event begins on July 4. Today it was announced that we will soon learn more about the Guilty Gear anime.

Yes, this is not a false alarm. Arc System Works has announced that the fighting game series will be getting its first anime adaptation thanks to the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers.

In addition to publishing the first image of the next anime adaptation, the producers of the Guilty Gear franchise revealed which anime studio will work on this new chapter focused on the world of Strive. Production company Sanzigen will work to bring the fighting game to the medium of anime, with the production company responsible for games such as Sakura Wars The Animation, BanG Dream, Initial D and 009 Re: Cyborg.

And in case you didn't know, Sanzigen also has experience in the world of video games, as the studio helped create cinematics for both Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Of course, this production will feature the designs of the original characters by Daisuke Ishiwatari, and will be directed by Shigeru Morikawa.
