In Portuguesa they delivered medical materials and supplies to 100% of the CDIs

The provision is incorporated into the emergency and hospitalization areas of the 21 CDIs in the region

The 21 Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) of the Portuguesa state were equipped with medications, material and medical supplies that will improve the care and operation of the establishments of the Public Health System.

Yelitza Ortíz, sole Health authority in the region, reported that the provision is incorporated into the emergency and hospitalization areas of 100% of the CDIs established in Portuguesa. “These supplies come to strengthen care in the public health network of our state,” she highlighted.

The donation, from the national government, arrived this weekend in Portuguesa and began to be distributed to the 14 municipalities of the state with support from the Government, “improving services to provide better care to our people,” said Ortíz.

Next equipment

The delivery of medical-care supplies to the CDIs in Portuguesa will be accompanied by a provision of equipment to offer greater and better care to patients at the first and second levels of health care.

This was announced by María Gabriela Gil de Cedeño, first lady of Portuguesa, stating that the national and regional governments together will send blood pressure monitors, glucometers, nebulizers and equipment to perform ultrasounds and electrocardiograms to these public health centers.

He said that, in this way, patients will not only receive medical care but will also have instruments at their disposal that will allow them to undergo imaging studies for the detection, control and treatment of heart diseases and other pathologies.
