Vice President receives Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe

The I Venezuela-Zimbabwe Binational Mixed Commission is planned to be held

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Frederick Musiiwa Makamure Shava, who arrived in the country last Tuesday, with a view to strengthening cooperative relations and celebrating the First Binational Mixed Commission.

At the meeting held at the headquarters of the vice presidency In Caracas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs was present, Iván Gil, together with the vice minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel.

Makamure Shava's visit to Venezuela occurs in the context of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, advanced by President Nicolás Maduro.

During the meeting, “the authorities addressed common international aspects and spaces in defense of self-determination and respect for the UN Charter. They also shared information about the illegal sanctions applied to both countries,” reported the account in X of the vice presidency.

Among other issues that could be addressed is entry into the BRICS, an economic, political and social bloc, originally made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, hence the name corresponds to the initials of said nations.
