Venezuela and Türkiye strengthen bilateral cooperation

Foreign Minister Yván Gil and the president of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, Serkan Kayalar, held a meeting

This Tuesday, Foreign Minister Yván Gil held a meeting with the president of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Serkan Kayalar, with the aim of establishing development projects for Venezuela and thereby strengthening the bilateral cooperation.

As reported by the head of the foreign portfolio in his account X, the projects to be developed between both nations will cover sectors such as education, agriculture and health.

It is important to highlight that, according to a press release from the chancellery, Gil, heads the delegation that participates in the celebration of the IV Venezuela Joint Commission – Turkey, which was installed this Tuesday in Ankara, in order to agree on issues of common interest in favor of development and conclude cooperation agreements.

During the day this Tuesday, both parties refine the instruments of cooperation in technical work tables on agriculture, fishing and livestock, science and technology, culture, sports, education, energy, transportation and infrastructure, and tourism.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22, the parties are expected to sign the Final Declaration of the Foreign Ministers and the cooperation instruments agreed upon in the technical working tables.

It is worth remembering that last week President Nicolás Maduro signed the law agreement for the protection and reciprocal promotion of investments with the Republic of Turkiye, which aims to advance investment in trade and economic integration between both nations.
