Foreign Minister Yván Gil brings the truth about Venezuela to various multilateral scenarios

The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, highlighted that from New York City, he shared the truth about Venezuela, in addition to expanding relations with allies around the world.

“This week of work of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, we were on behalf of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sharing the truth about Venezuela in important multilateral scenarios and expanding our relationship with strategic allies, with a view to continuing to advance towards the consolidation of a new multipolar world,” he expressed in a message through his social networks.

He recalled that during his speech at the 89th Plenary Session of the United Nations Organization he reiterated his commitment to the multilateral organization and urged the United States government to lift unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela.

“In the face of the persistence of coercive measures and their consequences, we express our commitment to a multilateral system, and determination to explore ways and means to be independent in line with international law. “We are here to identify ways and means to address the effect of unilateral measures, seek a safe zone to trade and guarantee the development of our people,” he said.

He appealed to member countries to present a report with their conclusions to monitor the imposition of unilateral measures and study the effects and impacts, as well as to prevent this reality from being minimized in intergovernmental contexts and called on States to refrain from recognize and apply measures as a political means to pressure governments.
