Venezuela addresses multilateral issues with UN chief of staff

Foreign Minister Gil held a meeting with the Chief of Staff and the Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs of the UN

This Friday, the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, held a working meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Secretary General of the UN, Courtenay Rattray, and Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs of this organization, Miroslav Jenca.

This was detailed by Foreign Minister Gil in a post on the X network, where he reported that the meeting had “the purpose of addressing regional and multilateral issues, as well as the role of Venezuela in the international arena.”

A Venezuelan delegation led by Gil participated in the discussion “Venezuela against the Hybrid War”, organized by PeoplesForumNYC in New York City in the United States.

“It was an honor to participate in the conversation in which we had the opportunity to exchange ideas with American social movements, with whom we maintain lasting ties of friendship,” highlighted the chancellor.

During the meeting, he added, “we highlight the firm position of the Government and the Venezuelan people in defense of our sovereignty, as well as our constant willingness to keep communication channels open with the Government of the United States as a sign of our peace diplomacy. without ever giving up our principles.”
