President Maduro mourns the death of his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi

Venezuela expresses its dismay and solidarity at the helicopter accident that caused the death of the president of Iran and several authorities of that country

El President Nicolás Maduro Through his account on the social network X, he expressed deep regret for the physical loss of his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi.

“I am shocked by the hard news about the sensitive physical loss of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi. Cilia, who is a friend of his wife, and I are overcome with great pain for having to say goodbye to an exemplary person, an extraordinary líder of the world as our brother Ebrahim is and will forever be, an excellent human being, defender of the sovereignty of his people and unconditional friend of our country," he published on his account on the social network.

He also expressed his condolences to Líder Supreme Ayatollah Ali Khamenel, his family and the people of Iran.

“From Bolivarian lands we express our deep regret to the Líder Supreme Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and we wish for divine consolation for such sensitive losses. We join the feeling that overwhelms his family and our Iranian brothers in these difficult times,” he expressed.

“A heartfelt hug from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. You, Iran, are an example of dignity, morality and resistance. “Strength, brothers and sisters!” added the head of state.

Venezuela expresses its support to the people of Iran

Through an official statement, Venezuela expressed its deep dismay over the fatal accident this Sunday of the helicopter in which the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, the chancellor of that country, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, along with other authorities, were traveling.

For her part, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez also expressed condolences to Iran for the sensitive loss of a "great friend of Venezuela and President Nicolás Maduro in the construction of a pluripolar and anti-hegemonic world."
