Maduro toured the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá

The rector of the Basilica gave the Head of State a replica of the canonization crown, which symbolizes the protection of the Virgin.

During his visit to the state of Zulia, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, took a tour of the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, where he showed his respect and devotion to Chinita, patron saint of the Zulia people.

Maduro was received by the ecclesiastical authorities, and was accompanied by the first combatant Cilia Flores.

The national leader expressed his love, devotion and faith. The love that the dignitary feels for Chinita, he attributes to the miracle of being saved when he suffered the drone attack, which is why he “feels deep love and gratitude towards the Virgin of Chiquinquirá.”

The president took time to reflect and pray at the feet of the patron saint of the Zulians, whom he thanked for all the favors granted.

Likewise, he received from the priest Nedward Andrade, rector parish priest of the Basilica, a replica of the canonization crown, which symbolizes the protection of the Virgin.
