The head of state offered heartfelt words to the memory of President Raisi and in solidarity with the people of Iran.

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, began his television program 'Con Maduro +', offering his words of condolence to the entire government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for the sensitive physical loss of President Ebrahim Raisi and part of his entourage in a fateful plane crash.

The president stated that he had hours of anguish waiting for the results of the search for the aircraft, and then he was overcome by deep pain when he learned the unfortunate news of the death of all the crew members, late at night, Venezuela time.

The president said that he communicated by telephone with the acting president of Iran, the until now first vice president Mohammad Mokhber, to whom he extended his "solidarity with the brave and heroic people of Iran."

“Brother Ebrahim Raisi left for eternity… We had a virtuous relationship with the Iranian president. Last night we were remembering the good times, the visit he made to our country,” recalled the national leader.

“With Iran we can not only say that we are friends, that we are allies, no! With Iran today we can say: We are brother people, and as brother people, our solidarity and all our support,” he said.

Finally, he sent a heartfelt message to the memory of the president of the Persian nation: "President Ebrahim Raisi, wherever you are, here you have confidence that Venezuela will continue in battle, in victory, united with the people of Iran."
