From the Angostura bridge, which connects the states of Anzoátegui and Bolívar, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced that a terrorist plan was revealed that sought to collapse the aforementioned infrastructure through vandalism.

Accompanied by the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán; Governor Ángel Marcano; the vice president of the CVG, Alexis Rodríguez Cabello and the commander of the REDI Guayana, M/G Rafael Prieto, the Vice President pointed out that these actions are part of a terrorist and criminal plan.

Rodríguez presented a series of graphs showing the cuts made by criminals from several guayas who sought to weaken the entire structure “to generate chaos and attack the lives of innocent people, as well as the economic dynamics of a region that is in decline. clear growth thanks to the policies promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.”

The first measures taken by the authorities to prevent unfortunate events will be to restrict access to heavy cargo through the Angostura bridge, this type of traffic will only have access to the entity through the Orinoquia bridge in Puerto Ordaz.

Likewise, light vehicular traffic will be able to use the bridge with a maximum allowed speed of 40 kilometers per hour, while recovery work is carried out simultaneously to give the same strength to the structure.

The Minister for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, explained that an entire technical team made up of bridge engineers and pathologists is already on site to begin the recovery of the damage caused by the terrorists.

“It was an instruction from President Nicolás Maduro, in addition to recovering the affected area, to install an entire real-time monitoring system to preserve the entire structure and what it represents for the country,” commented the minister.

Likewise, he pointed out that the same control and monitoring measures will be taken at the Orinoquia bridge in Puerto Ordaz, where exhaustive monitoring will be carried out.
