Four opposition mayors join Nicolás Maduro's campaign

Four mayors from the states of Barinas, Cojedes and Guárico distanced themselves from their militancy in the opposition and joined the campaign for the re-election of the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro.

Through a statement, the mayor of the Germán Roscio municipality of the Guárico state, Sulme Ávila, indicated that she, along with the other three mayors, made the determination convinced that, beyond any ideological position, Venezuela requires an agreement in pursuit of peace. and the stability of the country.

“We denounce and reject any attempt to return to useless political diatribes and violence as an instrument to obtain political position and power,” he said while emphasizing his distance from the “calculations of some” that distance them from the commitment to serve the needs of the people. voters within the framework of the constitution.

The mayors who decided to join the campaign of the Homeland candidate are: Juan Carlos Zamora, Tinaco municipality of Cojedes state; Adrián Azuaje, Bishop municipality of Barinas state; Sulme Ávila, Germán Roscio municipality (San Juan de los Morros) of the Guárico state; Pedro Antonio Abreu from the Rojas municipality of Barinas state.

Rodríguez reiterated his call for dialogue

For his part, the head of the Venezuela Nuestra Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, applauded this decision of the mayors, while reiterating the call for dialogue and consensus in order to care for the union, peace and economic growth of the country.

“We think it is an important gesture from these mayors who propose that beyond the ideologies and political position or the cards with which they were elected, what matters is the Venezuela of peace, of unity, of consensus. We can think differently, be in different political participation but what matters is Venezuela,” said Rodríguez.

Likewise, he highlighted that this action seeks to take care of the highest economic growth of all the countries in the region in recent years and “that it is shaping up to be a true power that achieves the complete recovery of the state of well-being that we all deserve.” ”.
