Celarg calls for the conference “From blockade to recovery”

Through the presentation of Vice Minister William Castillo, the resistance of the Venezuelan people to unilateral coercive measures will be discussed.

The Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American Studies Foundation (Celarg) made the call for the conference “From the blockade to the recovery. The heroic deed of the Venezuelan people”, which will take place this Wednesday, June 5, starting at 10:00 in the morning in its spaces.

This was announced by the Vice Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, through his account on the social network advanced despite the Unilateral Coercive Measures imposed by the United States on Venezuela, according to an AVN press release.

“We continue talking to our people. Reporting on the terrible impacts caused by the blockade and the sanctions that were requested by the opposition starting in 2015,” Castillo highlighted when extending the invitation to this activity.

In 2015, the then president of the United States, Barack Obama, declared Venezuela “an unusual and extraordinary threat” to his country. Since then, sanctions have been applied and the economic, social and cultural rights of the Venezuelan people have been blocked. Since then, the US has imposed more than 900 unilateral coercive measures.
