Carolys Pérez: Female participation has contributed to humanizing politics

The revolutionary highlighted that the Great Venezuela Women Mission increases female political participation

Female participation has contributed to humanizing politics by participating in it through the exercise of motherhood, said Carolys Pérez during her participation in the podcast Venezuela Woman.

“We are a vanguard, we have assumed our role and that invites us to think about the example that you want to leave, not only in your daughter, but in other women who dare to participate in politics and who perhaps think that they cannot do it because they are mothers,” said Pérez in the seventh episode of the program hosted by Dheliz Álvarez, head of the Great Mission Venezuela Woman (GMVM).

In this sense, in the aforementioned space she assured that the political participation of women is one of the main flags of the feminist struggle.

“Everyone fights for their own flags: there are those who fight for the voluntary interruption of pregnancy as their main flag, there are those who fight for the right to a life free of violence; I identify with you (Dheliz) because you were a member of the National Assembly and I identify with you because you and I have a flag in common, which is to increase the political participation of women, for me that is the main flag,” she stated.

In this regard, Pérez asserted that the creation of the GMVM is “very pertinent, since the President put us all to work from the different vertices in pursuit of a single objective, which is the dignity of women from different angles, so that they rise their voice, promoting the economic independence of women and emancipation through education.”
