Foreign Minister Yván Gil holds bilateral meetings to strengthen alliances

The Venezuelan diplomat met with representatives of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Cuba, among others

Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who is in the Russian Federation participating in the Brics + Summit, has held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of the countries that make up the group and with others that aspire to be members of it, with a view to to strengthen strategic alliances.

In this regard, he reported in his X account that he held a “productive meeting with the interim foreign minister of Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani, with the aim of further strengthening the ties of friendship and complementary cooperation between our countries.”

Gil stated that the alliance between Iran and Venezuela is unbreakable and is based on mutual respect and the firm desire of the people to achieve prosperity and a world free of unilateral sanctions.

Another meeting was with the representative of Saudi Arabia, a country he described as “a crucial diplomatic and work partner for Venezuela.”

In that sense, he expressed "we had the privilege of holding a meeting with Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, to review our bilateral agenda and strengthen our shared objectives."

Likewise, on Monday, he spoke with the Cuban Foreign Minister and stated that “it is always an honor to greet Cuba's Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez.”

Regarding the purpose of the meeting, he pointed out that it is to strengthen solidarity cooperation between both peoples. “We have sent a warm hug to the Government and the Cuban people, who are important contributors to the multipolar world.”
