Chancellor holds bilateral meetings with authorities from Brics countries

Yvan Gil brings to the meeting of Brics foreign ministers Venezuela's contributions to support the creation of a more equitable and multipolar world

The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, met this Monday with several of his counterparts and various authorities from the BRICS+ countries, within the framework of the meetings of the Brics Plus Ministerial Council, in the city Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

The most recent of his meetings was with the Foreign Minister of South Africa, Naledi Pandor, with whom he agreed to support efforts to achieve justice for the Palestinian people.

Earlier, he held a meeting with the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Trade of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, which the Venezuelan Foreign Minister also reported on his networks.

“We had the honor of holding a meeting with His Majesty Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Trade of the United Arab Emirates, with the aim of strengthening our collaboration and diplomatic relations,” Gil wrote.

The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries that recently joined the bloc of countries along with Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Previously, Foreign Minister Gil met with Dammu Ravi, Secretary of Economic Relations of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, one of the founding nations of the Brics; and with the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik.

Likewise, he held a meeting with the chancellor of Belarus, Sergei Fyodorovich Aleinik, with whom he addressed the importance of strengthening agreements and alliances between both nations.

These meetings take place in Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian Federation, where the Ministerial Council of the Brics Plus, a bloc of emerging countries founded by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, takes place for two days.
