ALBA-TCP agreed on route for Development Cooperation Agency

The executive secretary of ALBA-TCP assured that it is time for the cooperation of the regional bloc to take an organic institutional form

Delegates from the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) agreed on the route for the creation of the bloc's Development Cooperation Agency.

The information was given on Tuesday by the executive secretary of the alliance, Jorge Arreaza, through his account on the social network Prensa Latina.

“Fulfilling the mandate of the ALBA-TCP Summit of Heads of Government on April 23, representatives of the ten member countries in matters of cooperation agree on the route for the creation of the ALBA-TCP Development Cooperation Agency,” Indian.

In turn, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, stressed that the bloc is a regional political space that has made progress in terms of development cooperation.

Likewise, he reiterated that they have experience in a model of cooperation, of real union, which gives them an advantage to "present ourselves on the new world stage."

For his part, the Vice President of Planning of Venezuela, Ricardo Menéndez, considered that the Agency can represent a pillar to face the challenges to come and "generate antidotes against the aggressions that our people have suffered."

Menéndez declared that the Agency can also be seen as the engine for the creation of logistics that help face the consequences of climate, serving populations affected by natural disasters, among other aspects that provide solutions for all humanitarian issues.
