Death toll in Gaza rises to 283 during hostage “rescue”

In the last 24 hours there are 814 injured in an area where the healthcare infrastructure does not allow them to be treated.

In the last 24 hours, Israel has launched eight attacks in the Gaza Strip that have caused 283 deaths and 814 injuries, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported this Sunday.

Among them are the 274 dead and 698 injured, including critical cases, resulting from the rescue operation carried out this Saturday by Israeli forces to save four hostages in Nuseirat.

“Several victims remain under the rubble and on the roads and ambulance and civil defense teams cannot reach them,” the statement said.

On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) rescued four of the more than 200 hostages who were kidnapped on October 7 by the Palestinian movement Hamas.

For his part, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that Washington “praises the work of the Israeli security services that carried out this bold operation.” “Israeli security forces carried out a successful operation to rescue four hostages from the clutches of Hamas in Gaza,” he said.

According to the Ministry, the total number of victims of Israeli aggression amounts to 37.084 dead and 84.494 injured, since the beginning of the conflict on October 7.
