Iranians pay tribute to President Raisi

Citizens from across the Islamic Republic paid tribute this Wednesday to President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and their companions, in the continuation of the funeral procession in Iran.

Likewise, more than 40 high-ranking foreign delegations participate in the honor ceremony for President Raisi and his companions who died in the helicopter accident on May 19 in the northwest of the nation, according to a report from the Irna agency.

In offering his condolences, the head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, recalled Raisi's words in their meeting during the last month of Ramadan when he reaffirmed that "the Palestinian cause is at the center of the nation's causes, and Resistance is a strategic option for the liberation project,” says Prensa Latina.

After the prayer led by Ali Khamenei, a procession began from the University of Tehran to Azadi Square, which had thousands of people to bid farewell to President Raisi.

Thousands of Iranians participate in the procession holding images of the president and his chancellor, some wave the Iranian flag and some people throw flowers on coffins wrapped with the national insignia.
