Tensions grow due to diplomatic friction between Russia and Poland

Moscow will respond forcefully to what they have called the “Russophobia” unleashed in Poland.

Russia will take measures in response to the decision of the Polish authorities to restrict the movement of Russian diplomats in the country's territory, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Monday.

The spokesperson pointed out that “the details are not yet known” and “a note from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been announced with the details of the decision.”

“When we receive it, we will study it and take retaliatory measures so that the Polish high command, who are drowning in Russophobia, will greatly regret the next anti-Russian measures that are taken,” Zakharova declared.

This day, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, announced the imposition of restrictions on the movement of Russian diplomats through the country's territory.

The chancellor specified that Russian diplomats could only travel within Mazovia [the largest region in central Poland], and consuls only in the provinces where they carry out their duties. However, he indicated that the measure will not apply to the ambassador.

“We hope that the Russian Federation takes this as a very serious warning sign,” added the Polish authority.

Tension escalation

This weekend, the former president and current vice president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, expressed his perplexity at the words of the Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, who admitted the possibility of a US attack against Russian forces. .

“The Americans told the Russians that if they explode a nuclear bomb, even if it doesn't kill anyone, we will attack all their targets [positions] in Ukraine with conventional weapons, we will destroy them all,” Sikorski said in an interview with The Guardian.

“The Polish counterpart of a strange extravagant creature named [Antony] Blinken, with a much more sonorous surname, Sikorski, apparently, decided to scare his own masters,” Medvedev wrote on his X account.

According to the senior official, Washington “until now has not said anything exactly like that because they are more cautious” than Warsaw. “Secondly, for the Americans to achieve our goals means starting a world war, and a foreign minister, even from a country like Poland, should understand that,” he added.
