They present progress in the recovery of the ULA

They rehabilitate external and internal areas of the premises

The governor of Mérida, Jehyson Guzmán, and the regional director of Venezuela Bella, Andrés Rodrigo, presented to the University Council the progress that has been made in the recovery work of the University of Los Andes (ULA).

Governor Guzmán indicated that they will deliver more than 5.000 lights for the recovery of the external and internal areas of the more than 500.000 square meters of the University.

Another proposal in the social field is to provide technical advice for the review of the cases of retirees from the study house.

Guzmán expressed that they will give answers progressively and with the methodology that the liaison commission between the ULA and Venezuela Bella has been using, to expand the rehabilitations in other university spaces.

The regional director of Venezuela Bella, Andrés Rodrigo, explained that the rehabilitation of the School of Medicine.

The progress

As indicated in last week's meeting, more than 6.000 m2 of waterproofing are already underway in the Faculty of Medicine building, specifically in the South building and Auditorium 108 of this university.

The hallways and facades were restored and the total adaptation of three of the nine classrooms to be intervened was achieved, in this first stage.

Rodrigo pointed out that the auditorium was remodeled with the removal of the material, correction of slopes, placement of the asphalt layer and application of luminous paint.

In the internal part, the ceiling frieze was removed and planks were placed to modernize the structure.

For the recovery of this building, 800 rolls of asphalt covering, 105 buckets of luminized paint, intended for waterproofing, were delivered. It is estimated that the rehabilitated classrooms will be available next week.
