President announces construction of “workers' housing” in Bolívar

Maduro said that the construction of a complete city of the working class will have "schools, high schools, parks and health centers" with a goal of reaching 3 million by 2030.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Monday that he has planned a new model for mass housing construction that would be “worker housing”; “to build a complete city of the working class”, in the state of Bolívar.

The head of state who participated in a meeting with the working class of the Orinoco Steel Company “Alfredo Maneiro” Sidor in this entity located in the east of the country, explained that the construction of a complete city of the working class will be equipped with all services; “Schools, high schools, parks and health centers” that segment a number of thousands of homes.

In this way, he announced the approval of 3 million new homes, for workers, for the Venezuelan family as a goal by 2030.

Maduro recalled the electric coup and the electrical sabotage of 2019, “Do you remember what happened to the companies?” he asked, while emphasizing that “It was an almost mortal blow. And who recovered electricity generation?: The Working Class of Guayana,” he emphasized as a reflection, while the workers responded in unison: Yes.

In this same order, the national leader paid honor and tribute to the workers who overcame the electric shock in 2019, maintaining that after that event "the gradual recovery began (...) and there we are recovering Sidor, Venalum, Bauxilum, Alcasa, Cabelum, all the briquettes.”

He pointed out that “the last names” have threatened Guyana. “They want to come and privatize everything and take over. "Are you going to allow them to privatize everything in Guyana?" While the steel workers loudly stated “They will not return, they will not return.”
