Tropical wave number 5 arrives with abundant rainfall

It is estimated that tropical waves 6 and 7 will reach the national territory in the coming days, entering through Guayana Esequiba

Precipitation of varying intensity, fragmented cloudiness and electrical discharges in much of the national territory are due to the arrival of the 5th tropical wave this Monday, June 10, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh).

With respect to Greater Caracas, the institution indicates that the intensity of precipitation will be moderate in the morning hours, but “convective activity” could increase late in the afternoon.

The maximum temperature for the city of Caracas will be 34C, while the minimum will be 20C. The wind will prevail from weak to moderate.

Moved towards the west

Likewise, Inameh in a satellite image describes that Tropical Wave No. 5 is moving towards the west of the country, presenting widespread cloudiness over the national territory “associated with scattered rainfall of variable intensity.

However, in entities such as Guayana Esequiba, Delta Amacuro, Amazonas, Bolívar, Sucre, Monagas, Anzoátegui, Guárico, La Guaira, west of Miranda, Capital District, south of Aragua, Carabobo, Apure, Barinas, east of Falcón, north of Táchira and southern Zulia, rainfall will be more intense and frequent.

Three active Tropical Waves

Another satellite image from Inameh indicates that there are three tropical waves, which are evident, they will also be in the national territory in the next few hours, reaching the national territory through our Guayana Esequiba.

Inameh continues to monitor them and it is estimated that in the remainder of the winter season, there will be at least 45 tropical waves that will occur in national territory.
